The Research and Instructional Innovation Department (RIID) of Saint Michael College of Caraga formally announces the conduct of the Research Journal Orientation for all Fourth Year Research Leaders.

This orientation session aims to guide graduating students in preparing their research manuscripts for journal publication. The discussion will focus on essential scholarly standards, including research formatting, manuscript structure, ethical considerations, and submission procedures, in accordance with the institution’s research quality guidelines.

The activity is designed to strengthen the research writing competencies of students and to support their preparation for scholarly publication and academic dissemination.

Attendance of all Fourth Year Research Leaders is required.

All concerned students are encouraged to participate actively in this orientation as part of the institution’s continuing effort to promote research excellence and academic integrity.

Temporary Adjustment to the SHS Research Process

Saint Michael College of Caraga announces a temporary adjustment to the research process for Senior High School students to ensure the timely completion of their academic requirements.

Effective immediately, the Research Process outlined in Gantt 2 for the Senior High School Department is temporarily suspended. Despite this adjustment, Grade 12 students are still required to complete their research manuscripts, particularly Chapters 4 and 5, and proceed with the Final Defense as part of their graduation requirements.

The Final Defense will be conducted from March 11 to March 14, 2026, starting at 9:00 AM at the Accreditation Room. Research Advisers are expected to be present during the defense sessions to provide guidance and support to the students.

The SHS Research Coordinator will prepare and communicate the specific defense schedule for each research group to ensure an organized implementation.

Furthermore, the Senior High School Principal will submit an Action Plan to further strengthen the implementation of the research process in the upcoming academic year.
